Diamond Tabletop is a native mobile app (iOS and Android) for playing board, card, and party games online with other people. You must be 13 or older to create an account. Guests may join games via invite links without an account; on Android an invite link carries the game it points at through the install, and an iOS App Clip join experience is in development.
Every game in the Diamond Tabletop catalog is free to play, join, and host. We monetize enhancements (ad-free experience, private rooms, stats, cosmetics) — never access to catalog games. Third-party licensed titles are added to the catalog only when license terms allow them to be free to play and host like everything else; if a publisher's terms would require gating players, we decline the title rather than break the promise. What we do not promise: that any specific title will be available forever (licenses end, games get retired with notice), or that features beyond play/join/host stay outside the Pro tier.
Expansion packs, stated plainly. After launch we intend to sell one-time expansion packs for original games we design ourselves — additional rulesets that add depth to a base game. Three commitments bound them, and they are part of this promise: (1) the base game remains free to play, join, and host, and remains a complete game rather than a trial version; (2) expansions are host-unlocked — if the player who opens the table owns the expansion, every player at that table plays it at no charge; and (3) expansion rulesets run as a separate mode and confer no advantage in base-game play. We will not retroactively move existing free content behind an expansion.
The Diamond Pro — Founders purchase ($99, limited to 500, released in waves of 50) grants the then-current Diamond Pro feature set for the lifetime of the service, is non-transferable, and is refundable in full for 60 days, and refundable in full at any point if the service shuts down within 12 months of purchase. Your 60 days run from the day you buy, or from the day your access begins if that is later — and if you are already playing when you buy, your access begins immediately, so the clock starts at purchase. "Lifetime of the service" means as long as Diamond Tabletop operates — we say that plainly instead of hiding it in definitions. Why waves: the shutdown-refund promise is real money, so we only open a new wave of 50 seats when we can cover refunding every seat already sold — the promise stays coverable, not aspirational.
What we do with the money: after payment processing (2.9% + 30¢), Founders proceeds are held untouched for 60 days — the length of your no-questions refund window — and then spent on player acquisition, in whichever channel is measurably cheapest per new player at the time — paid creator game nights, social advertising, or search advertising. They are not spent on salaries, infrastructure, or overhead. If no acquisition channel is performing, the money stays banked rather than spent. We keep an internal accounting of seats sold, fees, amounts released, what they bought, and amounts still held; when funds are released we email Founders the amount and what it bought. We do not publish channel-level marketing costs.
Diamond Pro ($4.99/month or $39.99/year) renews until cancelled; cancel anytime, effective at the period's end. One-time purchases (cosmetics, and expansion packs once they exist) are charged once and do not renew. Purchases through Apple/Google follow their refund rules; web purchases through Stripe get a 14-day no-questions refund on first purchase. Diamond Pro — Founders is the exception: it carries the longer 60-day window set out under "Founders tier" above, which governs. Where two refund periods could apply to the same purchase, the longer one wins.
You keep rights to content you create (custom trivia, room names); you grant us the license needed to operate it. The platform, original games, and brand are ours (© Diamond Edge LLC); game rules and mechanics of classic public-domain games belong to everyone.
The service is provided "as is" during beta; to the extent the law allows, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the past 12 months. These terms are governed by Utah law; disputes go to courts in Salt Lake County, Utah. If a clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. We may update these terms with notice; continued use is acceptance.
